Vish has a lifelong connection to India and its culture and began leading kirtan at the age of five. He plays guitar, harmonium, bansuri flute, sitar, cajon and all kinds of percussion. With his group “The Mayapuris”, he has become known worldwide for his impressive Mridanga drum performances.

He is also a performer and member of the world beat ensemble “The Hanumen”. Vish has the rare ability to connect with the essence of Kirtan and transfer it to his listeners. Vish speaks Hindi and moves easily between the paradigms of East and West. He holds a B.A. in Religion from the University of Florida. He currently lives in India with his wife and three children.
